    Mallory Deal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works to help adults find solutions to address a variety of mental health and substance abuse concerns.

    Mallory earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2007 and began her mental health career working in the non-profit sector in St Petersburg. She went on to obtain her master’s degree in counseling and psychology from Troy University in 2018 and completed two years of post-graduate work with an acute care psychiatric hospital supporting a broad range of clients. She has also received training in cognitive behavior therapy, the Seeking Safety counseling model, substance abuse counseling, motivational interviewing and other key disciplines.

    Mallory’s motivation as a counselor comes from a desire to help people navigate crises and equip them with the skills to manage ongoing challenges. To do this, Mallory incorporates elements from various theoretical orientations including person-centered, strengths-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapies.

    Over the course of her career, Mallory has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, inpatient psychiatric and private clinic. Her concentration is on adults who suffer from mood and personality disorders, and she is proficient in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and severe and persistent mental illness.

    Mallory believes that a good therapeutic relationship is essential for the achievement of goals and positive outcomes for clients, and she looks forward to learning about and celebrating the unique strengths of each person she works with.
