    BOARD CERTIFIED CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGISTS

    Our psychology practice in Saint Petersburg, FL has both adult and pediatric board-certified clinical neuropsychologists. It is a distinctive feature of our practice to offer the expertise of board clinical neuropsychologists since there are not many board certified neuropsychologists in private practice, but primarily in academic medical centers and hospitals.  While board certification is not required to practice neuropsychology, Saible Neuropsychology prioritizes the highest standards of care and professionalism to ensure you or your loved one’s overall wellbeing.  Within our practice, Dr. Shivani Saible and Dr. Scott Porter are both board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN).

    Dr. Shivani Saible, Ph.D., ABPP

    Dr. Shivani Saible is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with the American Academy of Professional Psychology.  She has worked with varying adult populations in both hospital and outpatient settings providing neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. She obtained her Clinical Psychology doctorate from Saint John’s University in New York in 2012. She completed her graduate training in neuropsychology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and NYU Medical Center, her neuropsychology internship at Dartmouth Medical Center, and her neuropsychology fellowship at Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Saible has been working in private practice for the last 10 years.

    Dr. Saible works with adults who have neurological, medical, or neurodevelopmental disorders by helping to identify their limitations and providing recommendations for interventions that will improve and maintain a healthy quality of life. She often works with older adults who are concerned about a possible decline in functioning by determining if the person is showing a cognitive and emotional profile that is consistent with a dementia process or if there is some other causal factor (e.g., depression) that can mimic the signs of dementia.

    Dr. Saible also performs CMEs and IMEs in personal injury lawsuits. She has given expert testimony related these cases.

    Dr. Sara Macone, PSY.D.

She has over 15 years of experience working with patients of all stages of life in both Italy and the United States. Dr. Macone offers neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for adults and geriatric patients. She has worked in psychiatric and medical units of hospitals and in private practices throughout her career.

    Dr. Macone has extensive experience in evaluating children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental, neurological, medical, and psychiatric disorders. She utilizes an evidence based approach to testing. She strives to help her patients have a better understanding of their cognitive functioning as it’s related to their medical history and daily life and to provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

    Dr. Macone just moved from Hawaii to Florida with her husband, their little girl and two cats. The beach is her happy place and she is thrilled to be in Saint Petersburg!

    Dr. Renee Dematteis, PSY.D.

    Dr. Renee DeMatteis is a clinical neuropsychologist,  who is experienced in the neuropsychological assessment of various conditions, including dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disorder and other neurological disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD, Autism, and psychological disorders such as PTSD, bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, and personality disorders.

    She aims to help individuals better understand their strengths and weaknesses and provide personalized recommendations to assist them in having the best quality of life possible.

    Dr. Samantha Spagna, PSY.D.

    Dr. Samantha Spagna joined Saible Neuropsychology as a post-doctoral fellow in July 2023. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, with an emphasis on clinical neuropsychology. Dr. Spagna completed an APA-accredited internship at Centerstone Behavioral Hospital in 2023. Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Kansas in 2018. Dr. Spagna evaluates patients who have suspected or documented primary degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s or other neurological conditions such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, epilepsy and anoxic brain injuries. Dr. Spagna also conducts neuropsychological assessments with late adolescents and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, and psychiatric referrals including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and polysubstance use.

    When Dr. Spagna is not working, she enjoys running, traveling, and cooking.
